American Kennel Club
The American Kennel Club is dedicated to upholding the integrity of its Registry, promoting the sport of purebred dogs and breeding for type and function. Founded in 1884, the AKCĀ® and its affiliated organizations advocate for the purebred dog as a family companion, advance canine health and well-being, work to protect the rights of all dog owners and promote responsible dog ownership. It also has many resources including education about the Pug breed, helpful training tips, and information about all the various event types and titles.
The Old Dominion Pug Dog Club is a specialty breed affiliated club in good standing with the AKC and works with them to promote legislation protecting the rights of responsible owners and dog breeders.
